D4-1 Visa
The D4-1 Visa is designed for Nepali students who want to study the Korean language before entering a full degree program in South Korea. This is an excellent option for students who do not have an IELTS score but still want to pursue higher education in Korea — particularly those planning to eventually enroll in an English-medium Bachelor's degree program.
Under this visa, students enroll in a 6-month Korean language course at a recognized Korean language institute or university language center. Upon successful completion of the language course, students can transfer to a full degree program of their choice. This visa provides a smooth and gradual pathway into Korean university life, giving students time to adjust to the environment, improve their language skills, and prepare academically.
No IELTS score is required to apply for the D4-1 Visa, making it one of the most accessible options for Nepali students. However, students must provide a graduation certificate, financial documentation, and meet the minimum academic requirements. Scholarships may be available based on individual university policies. Some universities may conduct interviews as part of the admission process.
